Strange Folk is expanding with new events in 2018…
Strange Folk Festival is St. Louis’s largest and longest-running indie craft show featuring your favorite local makers and visiting talent. You’ll always find unique handmade wares, the best local bands, mobile restaurants, and atmospheric whimsy. It’s all for free, and free from corporate sponsorship.
We’ve been bouncing around the city a bit the last few years, from overtaking the near-empty Union Station Mall to the streets Lafayette Square; finally making our outdoor home in wild and wooded Carondelet Park, then expanding across South City into synchronous holiday events at historic Das Bevo in 2017 and a playful new pop-up in Marquette Park in 2018.
Strange Folk Festival is a testing ground for makers and a platform for lean urbanism. We’re a place where the community gathers around social congruency and celebrates diversity, but mostly we’re just here to enjoy each other’s company and laugh about memes. Pics or it didn’t happen? How to Participate
Makers should proceed to the Vendor Portal. Looking to participate in Strange Folk in other capacities? Submit your delicious data and we’ll email you opportunities and further details as they actualize.
Find 2017 Vendors
Looking for a vendor from last year’s Strange Folk Festival? We don’t post link lists, but you can mouse-over around where the vendor was located and their name will pop up! Plug that into a search engine. If the brand is a common phrase, try adding the kind of items they make to the field. New maps are released on Tuesdays before events take place.
Contact Autumn at firstname.lastname@example.org or by messaging Strange Folk Festival’s Facebook page. Inquiries are read/answered on Mondays and Thursdays.
